Vivian Adelberg Rudow (1936-     )

Vivian Adelberg Rudow, composer Vivian Adelberg Rudow, a sound portrait painter, composes music ranging from solo electronic to full acoustic orchestra, from lyrical and melodic to experimental and innovative. She has won ASCAP Awards each year since 1987. Her With Love (1986), for cello and tape, won First Prize in the program division of the 14th International Electroacoustic Music Competition in Bourges, France. She has participated in a performance art piece, live, at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., has had music performed in Australia, Austria, Asia, Canada, China, Cuba, Eastern Europe, France, Germany, Great Britain, Israel, Italy,  Macedonia, Puerto Rico, Spain, South Africa, The Netherlands, and throughout the U.S. Rudow's music is published by Hollins and Park Music Company and is included on six CDs, including releases on the Leonarda, Electroshock, Le Chant Du Monde/Serie, Living Artist, and NACUSA labels.
