Steven L. Rosenhaus (1952- )
Steven L. Rosenhaus is a New York City-based composer,
lyricist, arranger, conductor, educator, and author. His music has been
hailed by The New York Times as “clever, deftly constructed and
likable,” while Back Stage magazine called his music and lyrics for the
off-Broadway show Critic as “sprightly, upbeat, and in the ballad
repertory, simply lovely.” His works have been performed by such
musicians and ensembles as pianist Laura Leon, the Meridian String
Quartet, the New Hudson Saxophone Quartet, the U.S. Navy Band, the
Carson City Symphony, and the Ploiesti (Romania)
Philharmonic. Rosenhaus serves as Adjunct Assistant Professor
of Composition at New York University. He currently has over one
hundred original works and arrangements in print with LudwigMasters
Publications, Music-Print Productions, Theodore Presser, Skyline
Publications, and others. Recordings of his works are available on the
Richardson, Capstone, Musical Tapestries, and MPP labels, and can be
found on iTunes and other internet music providers. Rosenhaus is a
Yamaha Piano Artist and was a ConEd Composer-in-Residence at Flushing
Town Hall (Queens, NY) for 2010; he has also received numerous awards
and grants from ASCAP, the American Composers Forum, and Meet the
